Position Summary

Must have Mechanical Assembler experience. This position is responsible for lay out, build, test, analysis, repair, and modification of production components, equipment, and systems. 

Duties/Essential Functions

 Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, schematics, work orders, or reports.  Test product to ensure conformance to specifications.   Set up test apparatus to conduct functional, operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.  Review work activities with management.  Perform other duties as assigned by management.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 High school diploma or its equivalent (GED) required. Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is required.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret working drawings, schematics, technical specifications etc.  Intermediate reading, writing, and mathematical skills are required.  Effective verbal and written    communication skills.  Basic computer skills  Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.  Effective coordination/communication with team members and other departments.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand and/or walk for long periods of time throughout the day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Visual acuity is required by this job when assembling/testing electrical components.
