As a member of the trim team, an individual is tasked with performing interior and exterior auto part "teardowns" and "build-ups" prior to and after exterior parts are painted in the Paint Shop.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Disassembly and careful organization of interior dash and door components, as well as exterior doors, hood and trim
  • Read assembly guidelines as written by the OEM service engineers
  • Reassembly of interior components and fit and finish or exterior components such as doors and trim
  • Recognize the need to ask for assistance if needed
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles
  • Possess capability to provide function testing of vehicles
  • Document any additional issues found and inform the Team Leader/Manager in a timely manner
  • Recognize personal improvement areas and develop strength to achieve personal growth
  • Maintain a clean work station and work environment


  • Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Basic skills with computer operation and applications
  • Ability to work alone or in a group setting with minimal supervision
  • Must possess basic automotive hand tools

Requires the Following Skills:

  • Must be able to multi-task while ensuring follow up and execution of required tasks
  • High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be willing to assist peers, teach and help out as well as exude flexibility
  • Lifting Requirements: must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Requires a moderate level of physical activity
  • Requires bending, climbing, stooping and stretching within a vehicle


  • Vehicle trim repair, replacement: 3 years
