We have an immediate need for a Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting the CFO with providing all levels of management with useful and accurate financial information on a timely basis via verbal communication or documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Coordinate cash inflows and outflows between divisions
  • Complete analysis and research for variance explanations related to income statement accounts
  • Research and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts in accordance with company policies
  • Determine adjustments required and prepare journal entries for related account activity
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or reconciling items related to general ledger balance sheet accounts
  • Partner with business owners and external vendors to understand the underlying business processes to insure that appropriate internal controls are in place and that the business activity is recorded in accordance with GAAP
  • Understand, document and communicate the business processes related to assigned general ledger accounts including transaction flow
  • Compile cash flow projections
  • Assist with cost accounting analysis
  • Assist with preparation of month-end financials statements, cash flow statements
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings, including property tax, sales and use tax, payroll tax and business tax
  • Assist with the annual budget preparation
  • Assist with year-end audit
  • Perform regular maintenance of Prophix
  • Assist with annual and monthly insurance enrollment maintenance
  • Audit and authorize payroll processing bi-weekly
  • Process monthly and end of year ACA reporting
  • Perform light receptionist duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Confident team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work across multiple functions to achieve goals.
